I know some of you might have been hoping (or fearing) to see a scene where Malkar and Rollin fight it out, but it's already been made pretty clear what happens. So we've opted to skim over it in favor of continuing with present events. Hope you all are okay with that :)

      It’s either Malkar trying to absorb Meela or Meela about to go all kick-ass demon. Considering it’s yellow I’m thinking Meela. Malkar’s magic is black/red and Holland’s is blue.

    Not showing the scene I believe is a good choice. Though out of curiosity, maybe in the gallery section or somewhere, I’d love to see Meela’s father’s demon form. Did he transform into a wolf like Meela?

    The word “but” was used one too many times on this page, I think.

      I agree. The “But me?” in the 2nd panel sounds kind of awkward and doesn’t really flow well from the previous page. I think just “Me?” would sound better C:

        Stopping at the 2nd panel where Malker says, “He would never have taken the job,” and cutting off the rest of the panels, the dialogue on the first panel here flows better. I think perhaps this is just a minor continuity error.

          To fix the error would be to have Malkar repeat that sentence in some form like, “Feral was such a weak minded (insert whatever here), he couldn’t do the job, but I had no problem with it.”

          Every “but” could be cut from this page and it would flow more smoothly in my opinion. I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one bothered by this!

      Yeah, I think the one where he says, “But your brother,” could be changed to “Your brother, however, was a slippery little thing and took you with him.” The third ‘but’ would seem less awkward then.

      I would have loved to see a fight between Malkar and Rollin, but I’d rather the scene progress further instead, so I totally agree with your decision.

    Also might I add that perhaps the yellow glow is how Malkar sees Meela and the yellow haze is the Meela Demon energy radiating off of her. Just a theory.

      I think Meela’s aura is red based and crackles like lightning on the past scenes where it surfaces. So The yellow aura is still a mystery so far.

    Just wanna comment and say that i love your description. I hate waiting in suspense for pages of comics for them to show a death scene that was obvious or waste an entire page of no dialogue and just random fighting lol. I know some people like it and all, but i am so happy that i can further on with the story. You guys rule! And this comic rocks. Cant wait for the next page!!

    OK so first time commenting but i have a bit to say.
    First: Kick the ^$*^)&*ing crotch.
    Second: glow is probably her power from her moms side not dads.
    Finally: I surround the cushion Fort with a fence and Gatling guns because i anticipate an attack of some kind. Also i brought pocky, hot chocolate, hot cider, Chips, a BBQ meats and a grill, and some of my dads homemade pie. (he’s a chef)

    Go Meela, go! Turn into a demon, attack to throw him off then grab Holland and run! Prove demons aren’t all bad! (Meela is too pretty as-demon to be evil! Last time she only killed that dude to defend herself and she only bit Holland I think because he spooked her… considering how she had been attacked just before that, anyone would be jumpy and she wasn’t expecting any help at the time to come to her aid.)

    May I just say that this fight has to end somewhere. We are all focused on the fight and not where it’s going. A number of random and terrible things could happen from this fight. 1. Some one could die, this perhaps shocking feral out of his demon state at the look of his dead friends. He could leave the rest of the group unconscious and continue on to take over the world. Some really cool demon secret could be revealed and we could discover Ferals secret if the feral inside chooses to fight Malkar. Meela and everyone else could be seriously injured and some how get away leaving demon feral to hunt them. Meela could just then unlock some ancient power and save feral from Malkar. Or they could fight. You know any way works for me. As long as it’s some crazy epic plot twist. *continues to write theories in the corner with the rest of the AFC.* *munches chocolate bar in the pillow fort*

    Oh wow, it took me like, 3 reads to understand that the first convo box in the second shot was actually the demon saying ‘but me’ instead of ‘BLT me’. Which made NOOOOOOOO sense by the way. The ‘u’ is difficult to make out since the thin side blends into the black. : (

      There’s nothing terribly important in Tannor’s death, but we’ll try to work in some way to show it before the end of the sotry.
